A few more photos of Manchester. And yes Kris, think i'm a bit tired not bored. Mostly it's because my time is all taken up with work. Dont seem to be able to do llots of things anymore. During weekdends, all i want to do is sleep instead of going out to take photos. I love taking photos of buildings. And by the way, I could kick myself if i could. I was out last week with my colleague taking photos using my Nikon FM2. Know what?.....The film was not loaded properly...ARGHHHHH...When i went to develope the film, the guy at the shop told me that it was empty!!!! Hahahahaa. It's funny now but not then. All my effort went down the drain. There goes my first attempt on using B&W film. Will try again soon. My colleague gave me a roll of expired Ilford B&W film (expired year 2000). It will be interesting how the photos will turn out. Have a nice weekend.

long time since ive been to manchester thanx for showing Sun 20-Mar-2005 09:59

Lovely city and loads of memories for me. Other than Edinburgh, this is my fave city.
As time goes by, i think my photo taking skills have gone down the drain. Even i'm bored of seeing my own photos. Why is that? Hmmmmm....... Anyways, as i'm moving away from colour and towards black and white photos. Well, you all be the judge of my so-so photo taking skills.....

MANCHESTER ROCKS~! BIG TIME~! HEH.
think u might be sick of ur own pictures coz u keep taking the same style ones. maybe its time to venture into more abstract type of photos.

try taking on different subjects? sometimes i feel that fotos reflect on the person who takes them...not sure how to explain...maybe you're bored with life in general? anyway, i think #4 looks great Fri 18-Mar-2005 15:10

A Night At Substation

A friend of mine dragged me to Substation. It was a gig where 'indie' bands performs. There were a Singaporean band called I am David Sparkle (photo1). Haha. It's a funny name if you understand bahasa. It's a literal translation of 'Saya M Daud Kilau' a famous Malaysian singer. The second band to perform is from Thailand. To me they were the most lively of the lot. The lead singer (thai girl) can really rock. But the most impressive was the guitarist. As the band warmed up, the guitarist went into 'spasms'. haha. He was really rocking away. Their play mostly indie pop punk and quite tight as a band. There were two more bands, one from Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) and the last one was from Australia. I did enjoy myself eventhough the bands did not break any new grounds. The band from Singapore and Kuala Lumpur plays just instumental music like God Speed You Black Emperor, Mogwai, Tortoise. But the thing that piss me off is the lack of respect when other bands was setting up their gear, there were unnessesary jeers or comments towards other non singaporean bands. Where is the respect for other people music? Where is the so call brotherhood????? No wonder i'm not into the indie scene anymore. Such a bunch of pretentious lots of so call 'indie' music lover. Nuff said.

Picture rocks man!! Wed 2-Mar-2005 18:54

Yes, Mark. I went on the magical mystery tour. Went to all the places where they grew up or stayed at. The Liverpool city council wants to close the Strawberry Fields children home. .I signed a petition against closing the home. Hope Yoko Ono does something about it. If John was alive.......
The Cavern pub is a nice place. A lot of bands played here before.

Champion Jack Duprez played here...Why not try to reach Yoko, maybe she doesn!t know... Thu 24-Feb-2005 23:42

Niece and grand-nieces?

hanna, faith and roslinda
Hehe. Was back in my hometown. Didnt go out much except for food. The weather was so bloody hot that i stayed in. Think the temp went up to the 30s. It was good to see my family again. This shot is of my niece (in the middle trying to dance) and my grand-nieces (hmm..is that what u call them? they are my niece/nephew daughters.) Sigh. I feel so old. Haha. I did nothing but eat oranges and watch DVDs and sleep. p.s. - so difficult to take photos of children.

They're adorable. Grand nieces? I've never heard that used. Tue 15-Feb-2005 05:06

Lost In Jakarta

Am current working in Jakarta. Havent have time to take photos or really explore the city. Love the hawker food though. Been working and eating away. Hehe. One word..TRAFFIC JAMS...it's been a long time since i've really experienced one. On a bad day,it can take like an hours to reach my work place which usually takes 20 minutes on a normal day. It's chaotic with cars and motorcycles zooming in and out but there is order in chaos..haha. Will try to take some photos before i head back to Sg.

Mysterious pic. Leaves one guessing! Mon 31-Jan-2005 16:56
